logo_manchester_running_companyNEW IN 2016! The Hartford Marathon Foundation has partnered with the Manchester Running Company to provide pace teams, to support you in achieving your finish goal at the Amica Iron Horse Half Marathon! The Pace Team is available to you, free of charge. Click here for detailed information regarding pace teams.

A pace team is a group of runners led by an experienced long distance runner known as the pace group leader. The pace group leader will coach the pace team runners to their set time goal. The leader will run a steady pace throughout the race that keeps runners on track of their marathon goal time.

On race day it’s easy to find your pace leader. All pace leaders will gather near the Race Information Tent prior to race start. Then they’ll move into the start staging area about 10 minutes prior race start. Each will be holding their respective pace sign and be wearing a highly visible race singlet.

Pace Leaders will be available for 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, 3:00.

Click here to meet your 2016 Pace Team Leaders!
