Stick around right after the race for the “Turn Up the Heat” Chili Cook-off, a sanctioned event of the International Chili Association. 15 to 20 cooks from New England will compete for first prize in the “Homestyle” category. The winner will win $350.00 and a chance to go the 2012 US National Chili Cook-Off.
Burn Calories runners and volunteers will be admitted to the Cook–Off for free. Friends and families enter for a $5 fee to taste the chili and vote for the People’s Choice Winner.
Tasting will begin at 10:30 am and the winners will be announced at 12:30 pm.
