Running or walking as a team is a great way to support CT RACE IN THE PARK. We make it easy and fun to organize a team! Teams must have at least 10 members, but any type of group is eligible: businesses, families, schools, clubs, faith-based communities, book clubs… you get the idea! There are no restrictions on the number of people allowed on the team, nor is there any additional charge to register a team or register as a team member. For awards purposes, the team score time is calculated on the lowest cumulative score based on the top three finishers on the team.

Team members don’t have to participate in the same event on RACE day. Team members can choose the event in which they want to participate. All team members must be registered and will pick up their own bib and race shirt at Packet Pickup.

How Do I Captain My Team?

As Captain you will first register yourself.  During the registration process, you'll be asked to create a team.  Once you do this, you will be able to recruit team members, and encourage the group to fundraise and collect pledges.

To Register A Team: Click the Register button. Begin by filling in your personal registration information. After you have provided your personal information, you will be asked if you would like to form a team. Type in your team name exactly as it will be used by team members on race day. Instruct team members to register using the exact team name as you entered into the system. For their convenience, team names will then appear in a drop down box for your team members to choose during their registration process.

HOW TO Manage YOUR Team Information:
  1. Access your registration confirmation email.
  2. Click the CT Live profile link
  3. Click on CT RACE IN THE PARK in the Events tab
  4. Click the Manage Team button.
    • See who is on your team
    • Remove people from your team
    • Invite people to join your team
    • Opt to get emails when new members join
    • Transfer the captain role to another team member
