Half Marathon Pace Leaders line up at start
11:30 am Race Start – Harvard Pilgrim Middletown Half & Legends 4-Mile
12:00 pm Post race activities and refreshments
1:30 pm Awards Ceremony – Top Finishers in Half and 4-Mile (age group winners will receive their awards at the Legends Tent after the race)
3:30 pm Course Closes

logo_middlesex_ymcaFree showers at Middlesex YMCA (99 Union St, Middletown) for runners after the race - you must show your bib and photo ID to take advantage of this offer. Please bring a towel and toiletries. Showers will be open until 4:00 pm.

Divisions and Awards heading 

This event is timed by Bay State Race Services and uses the B-Tag timing system (timing chip is attached to the back of your race bib). Please wear your race bib on the front of your shirt. 

HALF MARATHON

Awards to both male and female as follows:
  • Top 5 Overall: Prize Money of $250, $150, $100, $75, $50

Merchandise Award to:
  • Top 3 in Age Group (12-15 and 5-year group from 16 – 80+)
  • Top 3 in Clydesdale/Athena
  • Top Finisher: Wheelchair

Gift Certificate to Mondo Pizza to:
  • First Male/Female Finisher: Resident of Middlesex County
  • First Male/Female Finisher: Wesleyan University (student, faculty, or staff)

The Half is timed both gun and chip. Prize money awarded on gun time. All others awarded on chip time. No “double dipping.”

LEGENDS 4-MILER

Awards to both male and female as follows:
  • Top 3 Overall: Prize Money of $100, $75, $50

Merchandise Award to:
  • Top 3 in Age Group (12-15 and 5-year group from 16 – 80+)
  • Top 3 in Clydesdale/Athena
  • Top Finisher: Wheelchair

logo_silk_stridersOur pace teams, sponsored by the Silk City Striders, is here to support you in achieving your finish goal at the Harvard Pilgrim Middletown Half! The Pace Team is available to you, free of charge. Click here for detailed information regarding pace teams.

A pace team is a group of runners led by an experienced long distance runner known as the pace group leader. The pace group leader will coach the pace team runners to their set time goal. The leader will run a steady pace throughout the race that keeps runners on track of their half marathon goal time. Click here to meet the your pace leaders.

On race day it’s easy to find your pace leader. All pace leaders are located in the start staging area before the race start and will be holding their respective pace sign. Pace leaders will be wearing a highly visible race singlet.

Pace Leaders will be available for 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:10, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, 3:00.

Header_Emergency_Texting_Service

The Hartford Marathon Foundation has an emergency texting service in place to be used in situations such as event cancellations or other emergencies where information needs to be delivered directly to you. We will be using this system for this event.

If we have changes to a race at the last minute, we can text you and inform you of the issue and what the plan is for the day of the race, and potentially save you time, money and sleep.

NOTE: We never use this information for anything other than real emergencies.
