Kids Fun Run

The kids race will be a ½ mile or 1-mile event. Children ages 2 – 7 are allowed to run the ½ mile. Children ages 2 – 11 are allowed to run the 1 mile event. The races are run simultaneously, so only one option per child. Parents are welcome to run with their children. The 5K will not begin until the last child has finished the HMF FITKIDS race, so parents may run both the Kids Race with their child and the 5K.

The start of the HMF Fitkids is located on Trumbull Street at Pearl Street. We run the Kids Race in waves of 100 children. Your child’s race bib contains a label with the wave # they are assigned to. Please line up according to the assigned wave #. If you would like to switch waves in order to keep your children together, please see the Wave Manager at the entrance to your child’s assigned wave corral. They will accommodate you.

There is no water on the HMF Fitkids course.

Please make sure your child’s shoelaces are double tied.
