Course Description heading

5.5 Mile: The 5.5 mile course follows the Red Trail which traces the border of Gay City State Park. The course will start down by the main pond and parking lot. You will run up the main road towards the park entrance. Before getting to Route 85 you will turn left and enter onto the Red Trail. This trail starts off narrow, but widens up about one mile into the course. Following the red trail throughout you will encounter a lot of rocks and roots along the way. There are several ups and downs throughout the course . Finally you will emerge from the Red Trail and turn down the main road to the finish by the Pond.

3.3 Mile: The 3.3 mile loop follows the White Trail which zig zags through Gay City State park. The trail starts as a wide access road with few bumps along the way. About a mile into the race the trail narrows where you will encounter more rocks and roots and a few down hills and climbs. After crossing the water dam you finish climbing the Blue Trail, and then turning onto the road for a downhill finish by the Pond.
