WHY RUN SURFTOWN?

Quite simply, the course. Competitive runners will relish the long straightaways, gentle turns and course elevation. Come and set your PR at Surftown.

For those less concerned about their finish time, come to drink in the beauty of the area. Misquamicut features miles of sand, surf and sun and is the perfect family destination. Watch Hill is truly a step back in time with its picturesque lighthouse, impressive Victorian homes and gabled cottages that look out over the beach to both Block Island Sound and Little Narragansett Bay.

We promise you a memorable race. You will want to make the Surftown Half an annual tradition.

Race start and finish are adjacent to the State Beach.

Post-Race Festivities

Enjoy New England Clam Chowder and refuel with an ice cold beer at the finish line. Limit one beer per athlete with proper I.D.

Your runner's bib gives you FREE admission to the Misquamicut Fall Fest, full of amusements, international food vendors, crafts and more! 

This event is timed by Bay State Race Services and uses the B-Tag timing system (timing chip is attached to the back of your race bib). Please wear your race bib on the front of your shirt.  Please click on the image to the left for more details.
