The 5K Pumpkin Run offers for the whole family with contests, face painting, Halloween crafts, Kids Fun Run and more.
The 5K race benefits the Youth and Family Services of Higganum-Killingworth, a non-profit agency providing clinical counseling, programs for youth development, and community education in substance abuse and parenting skills. |

DEADLINE FOR 5K PUMPKIN RUN - Print, complete and mail or fax according to instructions on the form. Payment may be made by credit card or check (made payable to HMF). Paper copies must by postmarked or faxed by Saturday, October 18, 2008.
In Person:
Race Day only at race start:
Sunday, October 28: 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m.
- T-shirt for the first 100 runners
- T-shirts to first 50 kids
- Two water stops, mile splits. Walkers welcome!
- Free post-race refreshments.
The scenic course begins on the Higganum Green in front of the Higganum Center Old Fire House. Town Green, near 272 Saybrook Road, Higganum, CT
Route 9 (north or south) to exit 9. North on Route 81 for 2 miles to the stop light. Hard left at light onto Candlewood Hill Road. The old firehouse (Youth Center) is on your left.
6 divisions - prizes to the winner and runner-up in each division.
Efforts will be made to post the results in this section by 5 p.m. on race day.
