We are very excited to offer a new event in 2009 - a 5K
sponsored by Blue Back Square in West Hartford, Connecticut.

Join us at Blue Back Square in West Hartford for this special holiday 5K to benefit our neighbors in need by donating a pair (or two) of mittens when you come to packet pickup. The 5K course winds through the wide avenues of West Hartford Center, past festive shop windows and neighborhoods decorated for the season. Start, finish and post race refreshments in |

DEADLINE FOR BLUE BACK MITTEN RUN - Print, complete and mail or fax according to instructions on the form. Payment may be made by credit card or check (made payable to HMF). Paper copies must by postmarked or faxed by - Saturday, December 5, 2009.

The Blue Back Mitten Run is a family event. Little Mittens (children under 12) can register on Race Day for $8. All Little Mittens receive a t-shirt and finishers medal.
The Kids Fun Run will begin immediately following the 5K at 11:15 a.m. (add 45 minutes to race start time). Parents are requested to assist with the operation of the kids' event.
Several distances will be offered including 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile and 1-mile. Kids will be placed in appropriate distance group according to their age and ability.

Invite your own fans to come, cheer and help us at the race. Volunteers are always needed at every event. All volunteers receive an official race t-shirt, refreshments and great times! Three ways to sign up to volunteer:

Winning Time chip is worn on Velcro strap on the ankle and will be distributed at packet pick-up. Chip must be returned at the finish line. $30 fee for unreturned chip.
