Golf season has arrived in Connecticut and that means
the PGA TOUR is coming to town!
Each summer the Travelers Championship, Connecticut’s legendary PGA TOUR event, brings Connecticut residents an opportunity to be part of the action at an exciting professional sporting event, while giving back to the community at the same time, as 100% of net proceeds of the tournament are contributed to local charities. This year, you can get into the spirit of the Travelers Championship by participating in the BlumShapiro 5K for Charity at the Travelers Championship!
The event is a great way to support your community!
- Entry Fee Donation: $5 of each entry fee will be donated to the race beneficiaries.
- Pledges Per Participant: In addition, race participants are encouraged to collect sponsors to support the charities as well via an online donation system. (Please see "How to Fundraise" section below for details.)

| All participants who bring a non-perishable food item will be entered to a drawing for great prizes, including tournament tickets and apparel, tickets to area events, gift certificates and more. | ||
Join runners, walkers and plenty of golf fans by participating in the BlumShapiro 5K for Charity at the Travelers Championship to be held along the Cromwell roads that line the fairways and greens of TPC River Highlands and the spectacular new practice facility. When the race is done, you can keep the action going! All participants will be given one ticket valid for any one day admission to the Travelers Championship!

DEADLINE FOR THE BlumShapiro 5K FOR CHARITY AT THE TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP
Print, complete and mail or fax according to instructions on the form. Payment may be made by credit card or check (made payable to HMF). Paper copies must by postmarked or faxed by Saturday, June 5, 2010.

KIDS FUN RUN - We've added a fun run just for kids ages 2-11. Distance of 1/2 mile. Kids can register in advance or on Race Day. $10 entry fee includes t-shirt and finisher medal.
Parents / escorts accompanying their children may run for free. Parents will be required to sign a waiver for their children and are encouraged to assist with the operation of the Kids Fun Run. The Kids Fun Run will be held at 8:00 a.m. immediately followed by the 5K.

Invite your own fans to come, cheer and help us at the race. Volunteers are always needed at every event. All volunteers receive an official race t-shirt, refreshments and great times! Three ways to sign up to volunteer:

| Winning Time chip is worn on Velcro strap on the ankle and will be distributed at packet pick-up. Chip must be returned at the finish line. $30 fee for unreturned chip. |
