Race Start is on Iron Horse Blvd. approximately 1/2 mile north of the intersection of Iron Horse and Drake Hill Road. Plan to arrive at least 60 minutes early – Iron Horse Boulevard will be shut to traffic at 6:45 a.m.

Great food, music and race award presentations await your arrival at the finish area at the Bandshell at Simsbury Meadows on Iron Horse Boulevard. After running or cheering, the aroma of bratwursts, dogs and burgers on the grill will surely attract you over to the Simsbury Boy Scouts’ food tent. Families and spectators should come hungry, too! The Boy Scouts will be selling treats from the grill as well as pancakes to raise funds for their troop. |

KIDS FUN RUN - We've added three short distance fun runs just for kids ages 2-11. Distances of 50 yds, 1/4 mile and 1-mile. Kids can register in advance or on Race Day. $10 entry fee includes t-shirt and finisher medal. Parents/ escorts accompanying their children may run for free. Parents will be required to sign a waiver for their children and are encouraged to assist with the operation of the Run For Kids. |

Fit Kidz Expo
Participants in the 2009 Annual Amica Insurance Iron Horse Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K experienced our Fit Kidz Expo. The exhibitors promoted health and fitness in children and had some really interesting exhibits. Below is a sample:

Skyhawks Sports Camp – Kids can try their hands at miniature basketball, golf and baseball-- just like they’d do at sports camp.

| Parking is located at the commuter parking lots located on Iron Horse Blvd. After 6:45 a.m., access to the parking lots must be made from Rte. 10. |

Directions to Iron Horse Boulevard, Simsbury:
From I-91 North and South:
Take exit 35B to Route 218 West. Follow Route 218 to 185 West. Take a right onto Route 10 North. Take a right onto Drake Hill Road. Take a left onto Iron Horse Blvd. Follow signs to race parking.
I-84 East:
Take Exit 39, (left lane exit), this is now Route 4 West, follow to Farmington. Turn right onto Route 10 North. Follow approximately 6 miles to Route 44 West. Turn left onto Route 44 West, go to third traffic light and turn right onto Route 10 North again. Follow approximately 5 miles and take a right onto Drake Hill Road. Take a left onto Iron Horse Blvd. Follow signs to race parking.
I-84 West:
Take I-84 to I-91 North and follow the directions, stated above for I-91 North and South.
From I-91 from the Mass Pike (I-90):
Take the Mass Pike I-90 to I-91 South. Follow I-91 South and follow above directions for I-91 North and south to exit 40 (Rt. 20). Take Rt. 20 West to Granby Center. (About 10 miles). Take left onto Rt. 10 South. Approximately 7 miles to center of Simsbury. Take a left onto Drake Hill Road. Take a left onto Iron Horse Blvd. Follow signs to race parking.
From Hartford:
Take I-91 North to Exit 35B to Route 218 West. Follow Route 218 to 185 West. Take a right onto Route 10 North. Take a right onto Drake Hill Road. Take a left onto Iron Horse Blvd. Follow signs for race parking.
