The site for this event is Brodie Park on West Hill Lake in New Hartford, CT. It is an olympic distance race: 9/10 mile swim, 24.8 mile bike, 10K run.
The SWIM is 9/10 mile in West Hill Lake, the clearest, cleanest lake in Connecticut. Wave start with less than 100 people per wave at four minute intervals. There is a 1/4 mile uphill run to the Transition.
The BIKE course is a beautiful loop course along back roads and wide shouldered main roads. The course has a screaming downhill at the start and a rather painful uphill at the end. In between, the course rolls without any major up or downhills. The course measures 24.8 miles..
The 10K RUN course takes place completely in a rural neighborhood. The streeets are quiet, wellshaded and flat.
