Course Review:

The Shamrock Duathlon race course is comprised of two 5k runs and an exhilarating 26k bicycle trek through the scenic New England backdrop of Glastonbury, CT.  A true test of endurance for both seasoned and beginning duathletes of all ages.

Map - Run Course Update 5/12/2009 - Both runs follow the same course.

Shamrock Duathlon - Run Course
Map - Bike Course  Update 5/12/2009

What changed from 2008?  The first 3-4 miles has changed only.  With the change comes a steeper hill up Neipsec Road instead of the old gradual climb up Hebron Ave.  Other than that, it is the same.  The distance is shorter because of the change.  Approx. 16.5 miles instead of 18 miles.

  • DO NOT forget your chip on Race Day. NO CHIP. NO TIME.
  • Chips are non-transferable and MUST be worn only by the participant to whom it is assigned.
  • The chip must be secured to your running shoes by the provided Velcro strip or Zip tie.
  • The chip must be attached to your running shoe in order for the chip to be readable.
  • DO NOT attach any metal to the same shoe (i.e. car key).
  • DO NOT run with the chip in your hand or any place other than on your shoe.
