COME TO OUR WOMEN'S TRI WORKSHOP

Welcome to triathlon!  This informal presentation will cover all the basics you need to enjoy your first triathlon experience or improve yourself in your second...or third...

When:   Saturday, September 11, 2010 - 2:00 p.m.
Where:  Winding Trails at Roosen's Roost pavilion at the beach
Conducted by: Daria Vander Veer, USAT Official and 20 year veteran of short and long distance triathlons

Topics will include what to expect in each stage of the race, basic USAT rules to follow to avoid penalties, and what to do with all that equipment!  Question and answer time will follow.

The Women’s Triathlon will benefit the Winding Trails Fund which is an independent, non-profit, organization serving people from Farmington and surrounding communities by providing year round recreational and educational activities for the enjoyment and growth of families and individuals of all ages. It provides less fortunate children in our community with a chance to attend summer camp. Plus, it provides nature awareness, research, and ongoing environmental improvements to the forests and waterways of Winding Trails.

  • The chip must be attached to your running shoe in order for the chip to be readable.
  • DO NOT attach any metal to the same shoe (i.e. car key).
  • DO NOT run with the chip in your hand or any place other than on your shoe.
  • If you drop out of the race, DO NOT cross the finish line with your chip attached to your shoe.  Remove the chip and hold it at chest height if you do have to cross the finish mats.
