If you are a New England resident and have excelled at our sport, the ING Hartford Marathon and New England Runner want to acknowledge your accomplishments during the 15th running of the ING Hartford Marathon and Half Marathon.

Our prize purse has been redesigned to reward top New England finishers with substantial bonuses. We are planning an entire weekend of special events at which you and your companion will be our guest and you will be the focus of a special section in New England magazine’s September 2008 issue.

If selected as one of our invited ING Hartford Marathon or Half Marathon runners in the New England’s Finest program, your invitation will include:
- Complimentary race entry for you and your traveling companion
- Hotel accommodations for 2 nights (one room; choice of king or 2 double beds) including continental breakfast on race morning
- $150 travel reimbursement
- New England’s Finest technical jacket and hat
- Your featured bio and photo in a special supplement in New England Runner Magazine,
- September 2008
- Special assistance from Elite Athlete committee including fluid placement on course, pre-race course review, escort to race start.
- Access to Invited Athlete Hospitality Suite in the host hotel
- Access to the Elite Athlete Tent at race start/finish (massage, refreshments, facilities)
Additionally, we are planning an entire weekend of special events for our New England’s Finest athletes. We realize your life is busy and have organized the weekend into two tracks: Thursday – Saturday or Friday – Sunday. Choose the timeframe that best fits your schedule. Whichever you choose, you will be treated with genuine Connecticut Yankee hospitality.
Some of the events we are planning include an afternoon riverboat cruise along the Connecticut River, a pre-race pasta dinner at one of Hartford’s best restaurants and a post race brunch in a local, organic farm. We are also arranging complimentary entry into local attractions and VIP tickets to the Hartford International Jazz Festival.
