POST RACE PARTY - ENTERTAINMENT - 11 AM- 1 PM

Kick will perform at ING Hartford Marathon

The ING Hartford Marathon Post Race Party will feature the Connecticut-based band Kick. Since its formation in 1996, the band has seen its popularity soar at a speed and to a level they had never imagined.   Kick has earned a reputation as “easily the top show band in New England...live, they actually look, perform, and sound better than a lot of the original artists” (Music News Express) and “the most professional modern rock cover band I’ve ever seen. Masterful.” (Hartford Advocate). In national auditions, MTV called them “Perfect” while VH1 concurred they are “an outstanding band."

Today, Kick is widely regarded as one of the best-sounding, most sonically accurate, professional, and visually entertaining rockshows in North America. Keeping true to their booking edict of: "wherever there's a good time to be had and great people to rock," the diversity of the band's repertoire has enabled them to perform at such prestigious venues as Gillette Stadium, Toad’s Place, the Pickle Barrel Music Hall, Yale Bowl, Riverfront Amphitheater, Lowe Auditorium, and UConn's Rentschler Stadium, where they perform before every Huskies football game. From Neil Diamond to Metallica, Kick guarantees their audience members will go home having heard at least one song they like.

The band is currently on tour sponsored by Coors Light, Hype Energy Drink, Connecticut Lottery, UConn Huskies football, and 96.5-TIC FM. Visit the website kickband.com
