The ING Greater Marathon showcases the revitalized riverfront and neighborhoods of Hartford with breathtaking views of the Connecticut River.

The half marathon and team relay also encompass the Connecticut Rivefront trail.. The entire route offers picturesque scenery and bright autumn foliage.

The ING Hartford Marathon is a Boston qualifier and
results are automatically transferred to BAA.
We offer PACE LEADERS to assist runners
who wish to run Boston qualifying times.

Not Allowed on the Course:
No bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards, wagons
or motorized vehicles. No dogs. No unregistered runners.
We discourage the use of headphones.

START

HARTFORD

  • Elm Street (near Clinton Street intersection)
  • Bear Right onto Pulaski Circle (counterclockwise loop of circle)
  • Left onto Wells Street (stay right of all medians)
  • Wells Street becomes Trumbull Street at Gold Street
  • Straight on Jewell Street
  • Right onto Pearl Street
  • Straight onto Central Row
  • Straight onto State Street
  • Bear left on State Street to run on westbound lanes of Founders Bridge
MILE 1

EAST HARTFORD

  • Left off Founders Bridge onto Darlin Street
  • Left onto East River Drive
MILE 2
  • Right into Two Rivers Magnet School
  • Loop counterclockwise on school drive
  • Right onto East River Drive

  • Left onto Main Street, Route 5
  • (North on Main Street using southbound traffic lane)
  • Left onto Carroll Road
  • Gentle right turn onto S. Prospect Street

  • CROSS TOWN LINE - EAST HARTFORD/SOUTH WINDSOR

    and return southbound on Main Street, South Windsor
