RUN FOR GOOD

The Eversource Hartford Marathon is proud of the many generous athletes who run for a cause and use the marathon, half marathon, Team 26.2 relay or Charity 5K as a fundraiser.

Please consider running, walking, volunteering or fundraising for one of the event’s official charities. Participants can also create a team or join the effort for a cause they believe in on the event fundraising page (Crowdrise).

OFFICIAL CHARITIES

Please consider joining a team or donating to Eversource Hartford Marathon Official Charities. Participants can run, walk, volunteer or fundraise – and ask family, friends and co-workers to join the effort! Learn more:

APPLY TO BECOME AN OFFICIAL CHARITY

The Eversource Hartford Marathon “Official Charity” program is limited exclusively to a small number of nonprofit organizations. This limited offering allows charity partners to maximize the promotion and value of their involvement with the Hartford Marathon Foundation (HMF). Runners have the freedom to run on behalf of any nonprofit organization of their choosing but HMF will only authorize the “Official Charity” status and all its benefits to the designated organizations. DAVID POLK CHAMPIONS FOR CHARITY AWARD

David Polk, a founding member of the Hartford Marathon Foundation Board of Directors, has been a constant source of inspiration, ethics and fundraising for our organization.

In 2017 in recognition of David Polk’s 23 years of leadership, stewardship, and generosity, the Hartford Marathon Foundation established the David Polk Champions for Charity Award in his honor.

This award is presented each year at the Marathon Finish Line to the single individual who raises the most pledges for charity. The winner will have their name inscribed on the perpetual trophy and $500 will be donated from HMF to their charity.
