Third Annual Johnson Brunetti 5K & Kids Fun Run to benefit Hartford’s Camp Courant
This family friendly Friday evening 5K benefits Hartford’s Camp Courant, the oldest and largest free youth summer program in the country. The 3.1 miler starts just before sunset on Batterson Park Road, traveling through Farmington roads before finishing at the iconic Hartford Camp Courant. This year’s theme ‘2020 Global Games’ celebrates the spirit of competition so participants are encouraged to compete in their patriotic red, white and blue. Following the race, all are invited to the Beazley Group Closing Ceremony post-race celebration party featuring delicious food, beverages from local breweries, entertainment and more. Awards will be presented to the best dressed and fastest participants.
All participants receive a high quality short sleeve technical shirt.
Kids Fun Run: Future global competitors can get in the action with a ¼ mile or ½ mile kids fun run!
Give Back: This race benefits Hartford’s Camp Courant, a FREE summer day camp that engages students in active learning and fun activities in nature during the summer months. Camp programs promote positive youth development and critical life skills – something that every child, not just children whose families can afford to send them to summer camp, should be able to experience. Support from the 5K/Kids Fun Run will help to fund operations and cover costs, such as the 14 buses, 700+ nutritious breakfasts and lunches, wages for seasonal staff and maintenance of campgrounds and facilities.
