Take a magical journey across Ireland this St. Patrick’s Day season, exploring breathtaking landscapes and storied architecture of the Emerald Isle! Enlist a team or see how far you can make it across the historic lands in an Irish challenge that features NEW live map tracking of your progress along virtual race journeys.

All challenge participants (solo or team) receive their choice of an Irish inspired knit beanie OR trucker hat, as well as a custom designed challenge medal of Ireland! Special edition Lucky Challenge hoodies available for purchase.

DETAILS

Walkers and runners choose from one of three custom adventures:

  • Ring of Kerry (Solo Challenge) /// 100 Miles
  • Ring of Kerry (Team Challenge) /// 100 Miles
  • Emerald Island (Team Challenge) /// 500 Miles

Regardless of which challenge chosen, participants register and log runs and/or walks anytime between Friday, March 12, and Sunday, March 21, to take part in the challenge. Individual and team cumulative mileage will be tracked live on the leaderboard.

Registration Fees:

  • $25 – until February 28
  • $30 – March 1 to March 21

This event gives participants the flexibility to participate when and where it is convenient. As such, there are no refunds and no deferments for virtual events.

FOOD DONATIONS

An important annual HMF tradition each March, please join the effort to donate non-perishable foods for those in need in our communities. Monetary donations may be made during the registration process to benefit Foodshare. Receive a reusable bag compliments of Stop & Shop for donating at least 5 items during packet pick-up to benefit community food banks:

  • Bread for Life in Southington
  • IHSP Daily Bread food pantry in Putnam
  • Foodshare

TEAMS

There is no limit to the number of participants on each team:

  • During the registration process, if you would like to participate as a team, select “YES”and choose from one of two options:
    • Join Team – Search for and join a team that has already been created.
    • Create New Team – Participants creating a new team will automatically be the captain of that team. To create a new team, simply type in a team name and select the team to be open to the public or a private team. (If you select a private team, you will be provided with a personalized team link for registration that can be shared).
  • After joining or creating a team, just upload mileage each day in your personal haku participant account, then head to the leaderboard to check personal and team progress.

Whether part of a team or taking on the Lucky Challenge solo, all participants can upload their runs to view their progress on the live leaderboard.

Note: The Emerald Isle /// 500 Mile Challenge can only be completed as a Team. Registrants must create or join a team during the registration process.

SWAG & MERCHANDISE


Each participant will receive a custom finisher medal showcasing the beautiful Emerald Isle AND have their choice of either an Irish winter beanie OR an Irish trucker hat – make your selection during the registration process. Participants can pick up swag at curbside locations listed below for themselves, teammates or others. At pick-up locations, participants (21+ only) will also receive a coupon valid for 1 FREE BEER to be used through March 31, 2021, at that location. Those that don’t pick up will be mailed swag after the event.

Participants may add a specialty Lucky Challenge hoodie sweatshirt (sizing details) for $39 each during the registration process or after they’ve registered HERE. Pre-ordered hoodies may also be picked up or will be shipped after the date of the final curbside pick up.

DUBLIN CITY KIDS CHALLENGE

Kids can get in on their own one-of-a-kind Lucky Challenge and earn a finisher medal! Get out and run, walk, jig or jog in the 10 mile Dublin City Challenge – participants are not required to complete a specific distance per day or limited to certain mileage, all submitted miles will be tracked. As miles are submitted through the Challenge, kids can follow their progress with milestones around Dublin, the capital of Ireland. Conquer the city and become a Little Dubliner!
