REGISTRATION

WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?

Refund Protection is now available for purchase at the time of registration only. Registrants may also defer entry for credit to a future HMF event (no later than 14 days before race date) or transfer registration directly to another participant. Read the details on updated policies HERE

CAN I TRANSFER TEAM MEMBERS?

Yes, to switch team members once your team is complete contact registration@hartfordmarathon.com to coordinate. Deadline to switch team members online is Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Switches after this date must be done at packet pick ups.

HOW DO I CHECK THE STATUS OF MY TEAM REGISTRATION?

Team Captains can check on the status of their team registration. Simply log-in to your haku Participant Account and select your “Team Captain Account” by using the link provided in your email confirmation or follow the directions here. Select the Rocky Neck Relay event.

TEAMS

DO TEAMS NEED TO RUN IN THE SAME ORDER FOR THE ENTIRE RACE?

Yes, teams are required to maintain the same sequence and rotation of runners throughout the race

TIMING

IS THERE A TIME LIMIT?

Teams are required to maintain an average pace of at least 16:00 minutes per mile over the 18.4 mile course to complete the event within the 5 hour time limit. We understand that teams may consist of runners with varying abilities, so periodic checks will be done to make sure your team can complete the race before the finish line closes at 1:00 PM.

The 16:00 minutes per mile overall event pace requirement has been established using the following criteria:

  • 14:00 minutes per mile on the Road Course
  • 18:00 minutes per mile on the Trail Course

Any team that falls behind these paces or experiences unforeseen circumstances, will be asked to alter their race.

NOTE: Teams that do not run all legs will still be included in the finish results through the time of the last reading of their timing chip (no finish time will be provided).

HOW WILL THE EVENT BE TIMED?

Live results and splits will be available throughout the event at the pre/post-race party area. Split times will be recorded at every Exchange and the finish line.

RACE COURSE

CAN I RUN WITH A BABY STROLLER OR MY DOG?

We love babies and dogs but no. For safety reasons, no strollers or dogs are allowed on the course.

WHAT ARE THE COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS IN PLACE FOR RACE DAY?

Covid-19 risk mitigation policies will be calibrated based on public health measures at the time of the event.

HMF continues to closely monitor best safety practices for outdoor events and plan race details following state and local guidelines. Currently, face masks are not required at outdoor events in Connecticut. If race modifications are required, details will be updated on site pages and via email to all registered participants.

IS THERE A WAY I CAN RECEIVE EMERGENCY TEXT UPDATES REGARDING THE EVENT?

The Hartford Marathon Foundation has an emergency texting service in place to be used ONLY in situations such as event delays, cancellations or other emergencies. If we have last-minute event changes, we will text pertinent instructions/updates. NOTE: We never use this information for marketing or solicitation.

Confirm you elected to receive emergency text messages in your haku profile. Once logged into your account, select “Your Registrations” and check the blue box “I Want To Get Event Updates Via Text”.
