The duathlon race tradition is back again in a virtual challenge! Kick off the summer multi-sport season with the 5K run, 20K bike ride, 5K run in the Shamrock Duathlon Revival!

Register for the Shamrock Duathlon Revival and take on the 5K – 20K – 5K anytime June 25-27. Virtual race benefits:

Registration fee is $25 per individual.

This event gives participants the flexibility to participate when and where it is convenient. As such, there are no refunds and no deferments for virtual events.


Participants will be timed and measured using their own timing device. To make your race official, submit your runs and bike ride through your haku participant account between 12:00 AM on Friday, June 25th and 11:59 PM on Monday, June 28th using one of the two following options:

  • OPTION 1 /// ADD FROM WEARABLE – Sync a compatible wearable device prior to your activity. Results will be uploaded to your haku results platform once your watch resyncs to your application. Once your device syncs, select the activity to submit for results.
    • Compatible with: Suunto / Polar / FitBit / Garmin / Under Armour Fitness
    • Don’t have a wearable device? No problem! Download the Free MapMyRun / MapMyWalk / MapMyFitness App on your smartphone and use it to track your pace, time, and distance. For complete details on how to use the app and track your activities, CLICK HERE
  • OPTION 2 /// ADD MANUALLY – Enter results manually. Feel free to submit an image for verification of your activity.

Participants must do each discipline in order, but can spread them out however they would like, i.e. run on Friday, bike on Saturday, run again on Sunday, or take on all three activities in one day! The choice is up to you, just be safe and have fun!

The Shamrock Duathlon is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event. In order to participate participants are required to be a member. USAT 1-Day membership is complimentary for virtual events , USAT Annual membership is $50.


Each participant earns this custom retro cycling cap (size chart), retail value $25. Register by June 20 to have the commemorative swag mailed before the challenge, those registered later will have swag mailed after the event.

What is a virtual race?

A virtual race is an alternative race experience that allows duathletes the freedom and flexibility to take part in a race from wherever they’d like. Simply register online, run and bike the race distance, then upload your finish time to compare it to others.

When do I participate and how does the race get timed?

You must run and bike your race between 12:00 AM on Friday, June 25th and 11:59 PM on Sunday, June 27th and all of your activities must be submitted through your haku participant account by 11:59 PM on Monday, June 28th.

All race activities will be timed and measured using your own timing device.

Where do I run/bike?

Anywhere you want! Start right at your front door, jump on a treadmill or trainer, head to your favorite bike trail, or create and explore special new routes to commemorate the race. Just be safe, adhere to social distancing recommendations, and follow all public safety directives.
