Ocean House – The original hotel opened in 1868 just after the Civil War and gained prominence among the historic New England hotels built during this era. The hotel was closed in 2003, then completely rebuilt and reopened in 2010. Located on 13 acres of beautiful oceanfront landscape, it overlooks a 650-foot private white-sand beach with views of Montauk, Block Island and the Atlantic Ocean. Flying Horse Carousel – Located adjacent to the Watch Hill Beach, the carousel is said to be the only surviving flying horse carousel in the country and the oldest continuously operating carousel in the United States. The treasure has survived disasters for over 125 years, including the devastating hurricane of 1938 and most recently Hurricane Sandy. Designed for children no taller than 5′ and under 100 pounds, they are encouraged to grab the “gold” ring to get a free ride! More…

Watch Hill Lighthouse & Museum – The Watch Hill Lighthouse, located on a peninsula in southeastern Rhode Island, and can be accessed by foot via a private road and is open from 8 AM to sunset throughout the year. Vehicles are permitted only for the handicapped and senior citizens. The museum is open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 1-3 pm in July and August and through the week after Labor Day. More…
