June 4 - 7UCONN HEALTH HALF MARATHON, 10K & 5K

In normal circumstances, UConn Health is a community partner that supports HMF in putting on this great race tradition in Simsbury in June. At this unprecedented time, HMF is urging runners and walkers to keep training toward their goal and race virtually in support of UConn Health and its dedicated healthcare professionals.

DETAILS

Register for the UConn Health Half Marathon, 10K or 5K or the Iron Horse Challenge (to take on all three race distances!). Run or walk anytime during the weekend of June 4-7.  Virtual race benefits:

• Race technical shirt mailed
• Commemorative finisher medal mailed
• Portion of each registration donated to UConn Health COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund (option to bypass swag and double donation)
• Downloadable race bib. DETAILS
• Verified results with awards (results must be submitted through your haku account between 12:00 AM on Thursday, 6/4 and 11:59 PM on Sunday, 6/7). DETAILS
  • Overall Male & Female winners in 5K, 10K, Half, & Iron Horse Challenge will each be mailed their very own finish tape so they can commemorate their victory
• Downloadable finisher certificate
• Customized race playlist curated by the professionals at Powerstation Events
• Training support resources – weekly guides, injury prevention tips etc.
• Virtual race bag with discounts and deals

Run the half marathon, 10K or 5K distance or take on the Iron Horse Challenge and run all three – all races will be $45.

This event gives participants the flexibility to participate when and where it is convenient. As such, there are no refunds and no deferments for virtual events.

SWAG

Each participant earns a short sleeve technical shirt and custom finisher medal! The commemorative swag will be mailed after the event OR participants can select to have their swag available for curbside pick-up at HMF’s office (this must be selected during registration or updated in your participant haku account by May 29).

• Thursday, June 4, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
• Saturday, June 6, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

IRON HORSE CHALLENGE

Motivated to run more mileage during race weekend? Take on the Iron Horse Challenge and run 5K, 10K AND half marathon. Submit results separately to be included within each race distance. Special ribbon and bragging rights provided.

Note, the registration fee ($45) is the same but you must select the Challenge option in registration to submit multiple results and get the Challenge ribbon on your finisher medal.

Already registered for a distance and want to change to the challenge? Just log-in to your haku participant account to make a race distance change and select Iron Horse Challenge.

CHARITY

A portion of each registration will be donated to UConn Health COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund. Want to give more to charity? Participants may opt out of receiving swag to double the donation to the fund. Select the “Donate my Swag” option during the registration.
