NEW in 2020! This beloved annual event with 5K, 10K and half marathon distances is now on Saturday! Enjoy picturesque courses along the Farmington River and local farmlands. The scenic two-loop half marathon course begins and ends in the center of Simsbury, a charming town center loaded with quaint shops and wonderful restaurants.
Participants in all distances receive a custom designed finisher medal and high quality short sleeve technical shirt. After the finish, a ramped up post-race party awaits on the lawn at Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center, which also features a large play scape area for the little ones.
HMF Sam Adams Challenge Series: The UConn Health Half Marathon is the final event in the 2020 Spring Medley Challenge, a NEW offering that will earn participants a custom technical training shirt. The Medley starts off in April at the Middletown 10 Mile, then hits up the Burlington to Collinsville 10K in May before ending in Simsbury. The UConn Health 10K is the second event in the 3-race Progressive Challenge, which starts with the 3.5 mile race in Middletown in April and offers training plans to gradually increase race distance to eventually take on the Eversource Hartford Half Marathon in October. Finishers earn bragging rights and a Challenge medal. DETAILS
HMF FitKids: Bring the kids to participate in the HMF FitKids ¼ mile, ½ mile or one mile races. Playground access and activities are available for kids through the morning.
Give Back: Please help give back to the community that has opened their streets for participants. Donations of nonperishable food will be collected on race day through the HMF Can drive to benefit Gifts of Love Food Bank in Avon.
Since 2009, HMF has partnered with local Boy Scout Troop 175 to raise more than $41,000 through the event for their community projects.
