JORDAN PORCO FOUNDATION (HARTFORD, CT)

The Jordan Porco Foundation (JPF) was founded in 2011 by Ernie and Marisa Porco after they lost their son, Jordan, to suicide when he was a freshman in college. The Jordan Porco Foundation is committed to preventing suicide in the high school, college, and college entry student population. Through awareness, education, and innovative programming, JPF is challenging stigma around mental health and help-seeking, creating open conversations about the prevalence of suicide and mental health issues in the young adult population, and saving lives. ALL SOULS COUNSELING CENTER (ASHEVILLE, NC)

All Souls Counseling Center (ASCC) was founded in 2000 by community therapists who were concerned when a crisis in accessibility of services occurred following the closing of a mental health facility that served Western North Carolina’s uninsured and underinsured.

Today ASCC has grown to include 18+ professionally licensed therapists who provide high-quality compassionate mental health counseling for uninsured and underinsured adults of Western North Carolina. They offer counseling on a sliding scale fee basis and have expanded their services to place therapists within partner community organizations to make counseling as accessible as possible. More…

LINKED4LIFE

LINKDED4LIFE is a partnered movement founded by Cheryl Antoncic, co-owner of Bear’s Smokehouse LLC and supported by the Bear’s Foundation. The movement was established in August 2020 when the widespread impact of COVID on individual’s mental health became indisputable. As more and more stories of how people were suffering from such things as isolation, financial worry, and limited access to helpful resources unfolded, Cheryl and her team at Bear’s Smokehouse knew it was more important than ever to show others that they are never alone, and to bring hope to those who need it most by connecting, listening and sharing our experiences.
