A Sunday morning race tradition returns on a new date with a holiday giving theme – help us fill the table for neighbors in need.

Run the single-loop 5K or double-loop 10K through historic, quaint streets with finish in scenic Wethersfield Cove on an unpaved trail along the water. Lining the finish will be a long holiday dinner table; donate non-perishable foods to help provide holiday meals for local families through the Wethersfield Food Pantry in a special HMF Can drive, supported by Stop & Shop. Below is a suggested participant donation guide to ensure holiday fixings are covered:

Everyone who donates for this special HMF Can drive will receive a reusable bag from Stop & Shop and a token of HMF’s appreciation – some bags will have $5 off coupons for 2022 HMF Events, others will have Stop & Shop gift cards or coupons for Old Wethersfield shirts or Sam Adams pint glasses.

Each race participant will be provided post-race packaged snacks and the custom, Big Mouth water bottle participants earn for swag.

HMF continues to closely monitor best safety practices for outdoor events and plan race details following state and local guidelines. Currently, face masks are not required at outdoor events in Connecticut. If race modifications are required, details will be updated on site pages and via email to all registered participants.

HMF will continue to maintain safety protocols at all events, including hand washing and sanitizing stations, modified water distribution and spacing of start and finish areas to allow social distance.
