New London’s 25 year spring running tradition continues with Lawrence + Memorial Hospital and a community health and fitness festival with a multiple distance road race for all ages and abilities.
The 5K offers competitive and casual runners a great 3.1 mile race while also welcoming walkers and families with strollers. Use the FREE training plan to walk/run the distance or a progressive run training plan. 5K TRAINING PLANS
The 10K appeals to those looking for a little more distance in a spring road race or athletes challenging themselves to set a PR. Utilize this custom plan to guide weekly mileage, rest days and cross training to get to the finish line of the 6.2 mile race. 10K TRAINING PLAN
All participants receive a high quality short sleeve technical shirt and complimentary race photo to keep and share the race memory forever.
HMF Sam Adams Challenge Series: The L+M Hospital Spring Stride 5K is the first event in the 3-race Progressive Challenge, which offers training plans to gradually increase race distance to the UConn Health 10K in June and then tackle the Eversource Hartford Half Marathon in October. Finishers earn bragging rights and a Challenge medal. DETAILS
The L+M Hospital Spring Stride 10K is the first event in the 3-race CT Challenge. The endurance feat brings participants to the Mystic Half Marathon in May and then on to 26.2 at CT’s signature event, the Eversource Hartford Marathon, where they’ll be awarded with a classic stately medal. DETAILS
HMF FitKids: Bring the family and participate in the HMF FitKids Run- a ¼ mile or ½ mile race for kids ages 2-11.
Give Back: Please help give back to the community that has opened their streets for participants. Donations of nonperishable food will be collected on race day through the HMF Can drive to benefit the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Bank, which serves the needy in New London County.
