HMF Events are professionally organized to provide safe, well-supported races including medical personnel and safety services. In addition, registered participants will receive the following swag and race perks:

  • High quality technical race shirt – register by September 15, 2026 to guarantee shirt size, first come first serve after this date
    • Long sleeve technical shirt for all marathon, half marathon, and Team 26.2 Relay participants

FEES & REGISTRATION POLICIES

Refund Protection available for purchase at the time of registration or up to five days after a registration has been completed within your participant account. Registrants may also defer entry for credit to a future HMF event (no later than 14 days before race date) or transfer registration directly to another participant up to 7 days before race day.

PACKET PICKUP

Online registration closes on October 9, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
In-person registration is available at packet pickup.
There is NO packet pickup or registration on Race Day

In-person registration is available at packet pickup if the race is not at capacity. Credit Cards and Apple Pay accepted for race registration and event merchandise. No cash.

Note: To designate someone to pick up another runner’s race packet, designee must bring or show a copy of this signed waiver/permission slip. Photocopies or phone pictures of the form will be accepted.

RELAY TEAM PACKET PICKUP

Please designate one relay team member to pick up race packets for the entire group. The team is responsible for distributing bibs to each member and ensuring the runner crossing the finish line is wearing the timing chip.

CONNECTICUT DOUBLE

The ultimate state challenge…work up from half marathon in June to full marathon distance at the premier 26.2 mile experience in Connecticut. Get support and encouragement through the journey and then celebrate after your iconic finish line moment under the Arch in Hartford with an extra special medal. REGISTER HERE

ELITE PROGRAM DETAILS

Two elite programs are available for athletes of the Eversource Hartford Marathon & Half Marathon:

  • New England’s Finest (NEF) Program recognizes talented runners from New England/New York and provides exclusive prize money, accommodations, companion perks, pre- & post-race hospitality and activities throughout the weekend. DETAILS/APPLY
  • Eversource Hartford Marathon Elite Program is available for runners who live outside New England/New York, and includes complimentary entry into the event. DETAILS/APPLY

To apply to be in the New England’s Finest or Elite Program, runners must achieve the following finish times between October 2024 and July 2026.

Marathon (Open): Men 2:29, Women 2:54
Half Marathon (Open): Men 1:09, Women 1:19

Marathon (Masters): Men 2:39, Women 3:04
Half Marathon (Masters): Men 1:14, Women 1:24

ENHANCEMENTS & ADD-ONs

MAIL MY PACKET

There is NO race day registration or packet pickup. For the convenience of runners who plan to come to Hartford on race day only, the mail packet option is available during online registration for $22 per packet. Mail My Packet can be added later in your Participant Account. Address changes can also be made in your Participant Account. Mail My Packet must be reserved with an updated address by Sunday, September 6, 2026.

PERSONALIZED BIB

Have your first name printed on your race bib by purchasing the Personalized Bib product available during registration for $10. This must be purchased by Sunday, August 2, 2026. Please note, your bib will be available for pickup at the race packet pickup(s). If you purchased Mail My Packet it will be shipped with your packet.

PRE PERKS

Treat Yourself! Enjoy PRE Perks and let HMF take care of everything before the race (available for purchase for all registered participants and their guests) including:

  • VIP pre-race heated, indoor space! Steps away from race start with breakfast snacks, hot and cold beverages and access to real bathrooms
  • Race packet and shirt mailed. Sign up for PRE Perks by September 6, 2026 to avoid pre-race pickup. (HMF will refund $22 of PRE Perks package for those who previously purchased Mail My Packet)
  • Race Day VIP parking, closest available to the start/finish line
  • Personal baggage check. Wear warmups until just before the race starts – then hand gear to PRE Perks staff, who will check them and have it available at the end of the finish chutes
  • Personalized race bib! Sign up for PRE Perks by August 2, 2026 to have your first name printed on your bib.

FinisherPix is the official photographer at the Eversource Hartford Marathon & Half Marathon. 24-48h after the race, you can view and order your personal race photos. PERSONALIZED MEDAL:

EVENT MERCHANDISE

Event merchandise can be pre-ordered in race registration and the HMF Shop. Pre-orders will be available for pick-up at the Packet Pickup Expo and on race day at the HMF Merchandise Tent. Merchandise will also be available for purchase at the Expo and on race day.

50 STATERS

HMF pays special tribute to Full Marathon runners completing their “50th State” at the Eversource Hartford Marathon with a keepsake to commemorate this amazing accomplishment. Send an email to registration@hartfordmarathon.com no later than August 30, 2026 to submit names for this recognition.
